Secrets Of The Millionaire Mind – Part 2
February 13, 2010 by Renee
Last week I showed you the first three secrets of the millionaire mind that have helped me on my journey, this week I will add a few more.
And I am very interested to hear your opinion about the secrets of the millionaire mind.
Secrets of the millionaire mind #4 - Think and talk positive
Your brain doesn’t understand “no” and neither do you. Having a millionaire mind means that you concentrate on describing what you want, not what you don’t want.
Or you will end up getting what you don’t want. Like – I do not want you to imagine a pink elephant. What are you thinking about now?
And that is true for your thoughts, your talk and what you listen to. Monitor your internal dialog and monitor what other people are saying to you. Check out the people that have achieved what you want to have. How do they talk?
Secrets of the millionaire mind #5 – Identify your purpose
Find out what your gift is, your special talent. Get really clear about it.
If you do what you enjoy doing you naturally excel at it, you don’t even see it as work. It’s easier (and much more fun) to turn into a millionaire while doing something that you enjoy doing.
So – what would you even pay for just to be allowed to do it? That’s a good starting point
Secrets of the millionaire mind #6 – Spend your time with achievers
“You are the average of the five people you spend the most time with.” Jim Rohn
The people you surround yourself with will affect your mindset. Think about them. If you are spending time with people who are also forward thinkers and understand your excitement and drive, you are in good company.
On the other hand if you are surrounded by people who are always in one crisis after another and you seem to be the solution to their problems, your energy will be drained.
Secrets of the millionaire mind #7 – Take action
You don’t need to “have” the million to have a millionaire mind, but you need to “be” the millionaire already in your mind, then the outside will follow.
The big step in between (or more the hundreds of small steps from where you are to where you want to be) are called “Action”.
You have to do something, you have to walk towards your goal, you won’t get there by just waiting around.
Secrets of the millionaire mind #8 - Think long term
One of the secrets of the millionaire mind is to think long term. Millionaires truly consider their futures, as well as that of their children and grandchildren. They tend to want to leave a legacy and put a great deal thought into what that legacy might be.
They often think about how they want to spend their life and what they want their achievements to be the following year, five years and even twenty years from now.
Have you thought about your legacy and what you would like to leave behind for those you love and other deserving people or organizations?
Although you have to live in your present situation, you must not get stuck there, unless, of course, it is where you want to be. Begin thinking long term now about all decisions that may impact your situation.
So do you have a millionaire mind?
Your mindset is the key to your success. How you view something will determine your response. Your thoughts and feelings determine the sort of action you take and therefore the results you get. The good news is you have a choice and change can happen.
Even if you don’t have a millionaire mind at the moment, you can develop it. So the secrets of the millionaire mind are not really secrets after all, right?
There is an interesting book you want to have a look at: “Secrets of the millionaire mind” by T. Harv Eker. You can get it at Amazon and I will give you my review of the book on here.
Stay tuned for more
